One of the dangers of experiencing success in life is the subsequent threat of becoming so fixed on our past victories, that we fail to realize we have much more things to accomplish or achieve. There is an inclination for us to become comfortable with our past results; And, this type of behavior should not be tolerated of ourselves, nor of those around us! We must challenge ourselves and others to continually grow and progress as long as we live. Just think of an Olympic hurdler: How foolish it would be for the hurdler to "look back & admire" how they gracefully surmounted the last hurdle? The problem is this: THAT'S NOT THE LAST HURDLE! The hurdler has to remain focused and ready to leap the next obstacle on the course successfully, and we must do likewise. Remember: Don't let your past success.....be your last success. "CROWN LIFE!"
We all should take more time to celebrate each other's uniqueness and strengths, rather than shunning or downplaying another person's gift. Diversity should be embraced by all, and the dispersal of strengths among mankind causes us to be INTERDEPENDENT on our fellow man. It does not matter if it's a sports team, a family, or a group project, we somehow always come back to this reality: WE NEED EACH OTHER! The illustration of diversity is as common as the meals we eat every day. Think about it: What if everything you ate, whether it is a vegetable, a fruit, a dairy product, or a meat, had the EXACT same taste? Would your meals be as enjoyable as they usually are each day? Probably not! We should think of each others' strengths and abilities the same. Collectively, we truly make things in life....better. Remember: Teamwork makes the "dream work" and "T.ogether E.veryone A.chieves M.ore"......CROWN LIFE!
There is an ancient African proverb that says, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." This statement reminds us that although our visions, goals, and dreams may seem afar off, they can be achieved if we take it one step at a time. Many people lose heart in the process, and forfeit their destinies because doubt and fear crowded their view of their ability to WIN in life. It does not matter whether you want to write a book, get a degree, or save a certain dollar amount, you've got to take it one step...at a time! Writing a book does not seem so insurmountable if you take it one page at a time. Getting a degree does not seem so far away when you take it one semester at time; And, saving a desired dollar amount can be achieved and exceeded if you do it one deposit at a time! Remember this quote by Zig Ziglar, "Great things can be accomplished by taking small steps; But no one goes anywhere by standing still." CROWN LIFE!
One of the enemies of our productivity is called, PROCRASTINATION. The conflicting thing about this is that this enemy is NOT an enemy WITHOUT, but rather an enemy.....WITHIN. This means that the very thing that CAN harm us is also controlled by US. Oftentimes, we choose to be counterproductive by allowing "laziness and procrastination" to dominate our lives, and ultimately destroy them as well. Whatever you fail to CULTIVATE or DEVELOP will eventually begin to grow WILDLY. Our lives sincerely need cultivation, and procrastination keeps that process from even beginning! Determine TODAY that you will not allow slothfulness to remain in your life any longer. SLACK eventually causes LACK...."CROWN LIFE!"
We must remember that we will encounter many things in life that will attempt to draw us away from our individual purpose. These are only DISTRACTIONS that either slow down or prevent us from maximizing our potential. The ability to FOCUS on the true objective and pursue it wholeheartedly is a critical key to our success on this earth. You have to remain "on course" if you're trying to arrive at the destination; And, "roadside attractions" will hinder your progress if allowed. Do everything within your power to stay focused on your goals. Turn your attention towards the things that will bring you the greatest return and reward. Remember: Keep your EYES......on the PRIZE! "CROWN LIFE"
